At Shire Springs Goldens, we raise exceptional animals in a loving and caring environment. They will not be considered for breeding purposes until they are 1) at least 2 years old, 2) meet the Golden Retriever Breed Standard for form and function, 3) have all health clearances for hips, elbows, heart and eyes, and 4) have been DNA tested to determine if their genetics can/should be used for reproduction. Dedicated to following a responsible breeding program, our focus is on keeping our puppies healthy and happy for when they find their new homes.

Shire Springs Goldens is a hobby breeder whose mission is to produce healthy, long-lived dogs with excellent temperament that exemplify the breed standard for structure and purpose. All dogs live in our home and are pets first. Puppies are raised in our homes so that they are exposed to all normal activities in and around a household. They are well socialized with all types of people and other dogs, cats, and some livestock. Puppies explore the world through adventure walks on our acreage, car rides, and a variety of activities to help them grow strong and confident. We evaluate each individual puppy to determine temperament, drive, biddability, and potential for show and/or competition. Based on our evaluation and a thorough application process, we choose the puppy best suited to the new owners' lifestyle and plans.
